How It Works
Regeneration with the use of Ceramizer® means restoration of nominal dimensions and correct geometry of contacting surfaces in mechanisms where friction occurs by creating a ceramic - metal layer with unique properties. The regeneration is performed without disassembling the affected units during their normal operation. It is sufficient to add the Ceramizer® to oil (in the engine, gearbox, power steering systems) or to fuel (to enrich the fuel).
The process of the protective coating formation, called revitalization or ceramization, is based on physical-chemical interaction between surfaces of the parts on the spots of virtual contact covered with revitalizant in a boundary or mixed lubrication mode. As a result a gradient cermet coating is formed, containing positive compressive stresses all over its depth and concentration of carbon, increasing at the surface (up to the formation of diamond-like structures). Distinctive feature of the process is a hardening of the coating with its simultaneous growth.
In order to increase friction, the driver should not exceed 2,700 rpm for the first 120 miles of driving (the
lower rpm is - the higher friction in engine and the more effective creation of the coating of cermet is).
The particles of Ceramizer® are characterized by a strong level of adhesion to metals, they transfer metal particles (selective transfer) to worn
spots where the temperature is elevated due to friction, and they diffuse there. In those spots, the combined metal and Ceramizer® particles reconstruct
the surfaces developing a ceramic and metal layer. In effect of the diffusion of the Ceramizer® with a metal surface, the structure of the metal crystal
lattice improves; thus the surface layer is hardened and filled in (a durable and inseparable ceramic and metal protective layer is developed). The process
of the layer development is called ceramization. The layer fills in, covers and evens up micro defects and deformations of the rubbing surfaces.
